GHANA: Leave USA Tuesday, May 14th  and arrive in Ghana Wednesday, May 15th  (Accra – Kotoka International Airport) and return to USA Tuesday, May 28th / arrive Wednesday, May 29th

MOSS: Friday, May 31 to Monday, June 3rd

  • This course is offered nationally and is open to anyone who would like to participate!
  • Credits apply to CORE Humanities
  • Enrollment is limited to 18 students on a first come first served basis.

Course Description:

“Africa’s Calling” is a three-week study abroad course with special emphasis on cultural and environmental awareness in Ghana. It also includes an international business relations component. It devotes attention to traditional drumming and dance practices and includes an exploration of the country’s historical and geographical terrain.  Through an examination of relevant literature, residency and regular lessons at the Kusun Cultural Centre, fieldtrips to the Volta Region and Accra, students will experience Ghana’s past and present contributions to the global community.  For those who would like to participate, there is also a four day teach-back experience at U-Idaho’s McCall Outdoor Science School facility (please see MOSS page for further information)
